How Do I Unlock Kanto & Mount Silver in Pokemon Soul Silver?

Kanto is the land from the first "Pokemon" games. "Pokemon SoulSilver" takes place in Johto, but after your complete the game, you can access Kanto and battle the gym leaders from the original game. You can also travel to Mount Silver where you can battle Red, the toughest Pokemon trainer in the game. Unlocking Mount Silver requires you to receive all sixteen badges from the various gym leaders.

Instructions

  Defeat all eight Johto gym leaders to receive the eight badges.

  Travel to the Pokemon League and challenge the Elite Four. You will need to defeat the Elite Four and the Pokemon Champion in back-to-back battles. You will not be able to use a Pokemon Center to heal, so come prepared with plenty of potions. You will now be able to access Kanto once the credits have finished.

  Defeat all eight Kanto gym leaders to receive the next eight badges. You will now have a total of sixteen badges.

  Travel to Pallet Town in Kanto and talk to Professor Oak. He will present to you a special ticket.

  Travel to the Pokemon League in Kanto and take the left exit. The guard will let you pass and you can then enter Mount Silver. You can travel through Victory Road to get to the Pokemon League or simply use a Pokemon that knows the move "Fly" to reach the Pokemon League.
