How to Put Games on R4DS

The R4 for DS systems allows you to transfer DS games you have saved on your computer as ROMs to your DS or Dsi. You can put games onto your R4 by using a microSD card. These tiny cards can hold gigabytes of information, which means they can hold many games on them.

Things You'll Need

MicroSD
R4 cartridge
MicroSD to SD card adapter
SD card reader or computer media port

Instructions

  Insert the microSD card into the SD adapter.

  Insert the card in the adapter into the SD card reader or into your computer's media port.

  Open "Computer" in the "Start" menu.

  Open "Removable Disk."

  Open your R4DS folder.

  Right-click the "R4DS" file and click "Copy."

  Right-click within the "Removable Disk" folder and click "Paste."

  Open the folder that contains your games.

  "Copy" and "Paste" a game you want to add to the R4 into the the "Removable Disk" folder.

  Wait for the game to completely transfer before removing your microSD card.

  Place the card into the R4 cartridge.

  Insert the cartridge into your DS and power it on to confirm your game is on the games list.
