How to Delete the Save File in Pokemon Black

If you have a second hand version of "Pokemon Black," or if you simply want to start the game from scratch, you may want to delete the previous save file. This process requires you to press a combination of buttons and is not a menu option like you might find on other games. You can apply this same process to other "Pokemon" games on the Nintendo DS console, such as "Pokemon White" and "Pokemon HeartGold."

     Turn on your console and start "Pokemon Black." Wait for the title screen to appear. This screen prompts you to "Touch to Start."

     Press the "Up," "Select" and "B" buttons simultaneously.

     Select "Yes" when the game asks if you would like to delete all saved data. Select "Yes" a second time and this will delete your save file.
