How to Win a Master Rank Contest With Electivire in Pokemon Platinum

There isn't a more challenging Pokemon contest than the Master Rank in "Pokemon Platinum." A talented Electivire must effectively equip the correct combination of accessories, get a high score in the dance competition and act using the four battle moves you taught the creature. Electivire is a tough Electric-type Pokemon that evolves from Electabuzz once it is traded while holding an Electirizer. While the high-voltage Pokemon isn't naturally suited for four of the five contest types, a properly trained Electivire can easily dominate a Master Rank Cool contest.

Instructions

  Join a Cool Contest with Electivire as your entry. Electivire's mastery of Electric-type attacks gives it a huge advantage in the third portion of the contest, as most Electric attacks are labeled as "Cool."

  Create and feed Electivire Poffins made with spicy flavored berries. Poffins are made at the Poffin House located west of the Pokemart in Hearthome City.

  Choose accessories to dress Electivire at the start of the contest. Master Rank contests use either the Festive, Relaxed or Intangible theme. Dressing your Pokemon with matching items will greatly boost its score. For example, light accessories such as glitter or balloons will improve Electivire's score.

  Give Electivire a Red Scarf to hold during the contest. All of its Cool points will be increased by 10%. Show the Pokemon in the Pokemon Fan Club located in Slateport City a Pokemon with a high Cool score and he will give you a Red Scarf.

  Practice the dance contest portion of the contest. There are no special methods to score highly other than pushing the "directional pad" up, down, left and right to the music.
