What Is the Omni Pokedex?

The Pokedex is a type of catalog of Pokemon seen during travels in the Nintendo "Pokemon" game series. Team Omni is one of the many teams of enemies who "Pokemon" players must battle during gameplay. "Pokemon Platinum" players will gain experience with both their own Pokedex and that of their enemies since Pokedex entries are the Pokemon used in battle in most cases.
  1. "Pokemon Platinum"

    • "Pokemon Platinum" is the third entry in the fourth-generation Nintendo DS Pokemon games. "Pokemon Platinum" followed "Pokemon Diamond" and "Pokemon Pearl." It was released in the United States in March 2009. "Pokemon Platinum" is similar in some ways to "Pokemon Diamond" and "Pokemon Pearl" as it covers the same gameplay region of Sinnoh, but many details such as graphics and characters have been changed or enhanced. A new area of the game called "Distortion World" is available, and some Pokemon may only be obtained via trades or import from a "Pokemon Diamond" or "Pokemon Pearl" game cartridge.

    Team Omni

    • Team Omni is a group of villains in the "Pokemon Platinum" game. These Pokemon trainers include both male and females, some of whom are named and others who are identified only as Team Omni members. During each battle during the game, the main character will face members from Team Omni, pitting their teams of Pokemon against each other. The objective of Team Omni is to dominate the world with the use of their Pokemon.

    Pokedex

    • A Pokedex is a virtual in-game device that allows for the viewing of any Pokemon that is owned by the Pokedex owner, or that have been seen in the wild by the Pokedex owner (even if the Pokemon was not successfully caught.) The Pokedex provides information such as the gender, height, weight, type and general habitat of the Pokemon. The Pokedex also provides information on the Hit Points, or HP, the Pokemon has, which is an indicator of the strength it will have in battle.

    Exclusive Pokemon

    • Pokemon that are exclusive to an Omni Pokedex depend entirely upon the individual player, since each Pokedex will be different. The "Pokemon Platinum" game introduces 210 new Pokemon, and when combined with the obtainable Pokemon from previous versions and trades, players can potentially hold 393 Pokemon in their Pokedex. The Team Omni Pokedex does not show legendary Pokemon, such as Giratina during battles, but this does not mean such Pokemon are not in the Team Omni Pokedex since any Pokemon ever seen in the wild will appear in Pokedexes.
