How to Fix a Wet Nintendo DSI

When your child drops his DS in the sink or leaves it outside in the rain, the handheld video game console will no longer work. Within the system every crack will fill with water, and when you turn it back and forth you may even hear the water moving within the electronic device. Instead of spending the money immediately on a new DS, try using rice to absorb the water within the system.

     Remove the game from your DS and open the device.

     Fill a plastic zip-sealed bag with four cups of dry rice.

     Place the DS in the bag of rice and seal shut. Leave in the bag for a day and the rice will absorb the water inside the console.
