How to Download DS Games Without Nintendo Points

The Nintendo DS is a handheld game console that has sold over 129 million units since its release in 2004. The DS does allow users to download games and applications directly to the system via the browser on the console, however, all of these games require Nintendo points to purchase. The only alternative to Nintendo Points are the Nintendo download stations located in selected Nintendo retailers across the country. Download stations allow DS users to download demonstration games to their console at no cost and play the games until the system power is switched off.

     Visit a Nintendo Download Station at a participating Nintendo retail store with your Nintendo DS console. Stand 5 feet away from the download station.

     Turn your Nintendo DS system on and select "DS Download Play" from the main menu.

     Select the DS Download station that appears on your screen.

     Scroll through the available games and click on the name of the game to begin downloading.

     Leave the download station when the game download is complete.
