How to Mash Licorice in Harry Potter for the DS

"Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince" is a Nintendo DS game based off of the popular book and movie series. The DS game follows the "Half-Blood Prince" storyline almost exactly, with Voldemort posing as a growing threat and romance becoming a part of the student's lives. Making potions is an important part of the game, especially Love and Anti-Love Potions. To create a potion, you need to successfully complete the "Making Potion" mini-game.

Instructions

- 1
  Go to the Herbology classroom inside the school.

  Tap the cauldron with your stylus. The cauldron is next to the work bench in the classroom. The licorice is dumped into the cauldron and the mini-game appears.

  Select the mallet tool on the top of the game screen. Tap your stylus against the licorice until it is smashed up. Click the arrow to throw the licorice into the cauldron.

  Stir the cauldron with your stylus in a wide circle. Use the "left" and "right" directional button to move the jar on the bottom of the screen. As drops of mashed licorice fall out of the cauldron, move the jar to catch the drops.
