How to Transfer Video Files to Action Replay Media Edition

Action Replay DS Media Edition includes a built-in media player that can play videos and music on your Nintendo DS. The Media Player plays video files from the video folder on a MicroSD card. Media Player only supports videos in D3V, its own format. Before placing videos on your MicroSD card, you must first convert them into D3V format using the Max DS Video Converter included on the software CD that came with your Action Replay DS Media Edition.

Instructions

    • 1

Insert the Action Replay Media Edition Utilities CD into your computer's disc drive if the utilities aren't already installed and install the utilities by following the instructions on your screen.

    • 2

Double-click the "MAX DS Video Converter" icon on your desktop.

    • 3

Browse for a video file you want to convert to D3V format, double-click the file and click "Encode." MAX DS Video Converter creates a D3V file in the same directory as the original video.

    • 4

Insert a MicroSD memory card into the slot on the included MicroSD USB adapter.

    • 5

Connect the MicroSD USB adapter to a USB slot on your computer.

    • 6

Click "Start," then choose "Computer" and then double-click the "MicroSD" drive.

    • 7

Create a folder named "VIDEO" if one doesn't already exist by right-clicking in the MIcroSD drive window, pointing to "New," clicking "Folder," typing "VIDEO" and pressing "Enter."

    • 8

Drag and drop video files in D3V format into the VIDEO folder on your MicroSD card.

    • 9

Unplug the MicroSD adapter from your computer, remove the MicroSD card and insert it into the slot on the top of your Action Replay DS Media Edition Cartridge.

    • 10

Insert the cartridge into your Nintendo DS, turn the DS on and select "Media Player."
