Easy Way to Get a Shiny Suicune in Pokemon SoulSilver

A Shiny Pokemon is a Pokemon whose coloration differs wildly from what is standard for its species and is surrounded by a golden glow when battles start. Functionally, Shiny Pokemon are no different from standard, but as is often the case in the fandom, their incredible rarity has made them highly valuable. In the cases of legendary Pokemon who by definition are ultra rare, such as Suicune, the shiny types are so rare as to be almost nonexistent. The only easy way to make a shiny Suicune, or any other shiny legendary, appear in "Pokemon SoulSilver" is by using the Action Replay DSi cheating device.

  Start your game and travel to Ecruteak City.

  Walk to the Burned Tower in the Northwest of Ecruteak City.

  Go into the tower, watch the event and win the battle against your rival that comes immediately after. Raikou, Entei and Suicune will now be available for capture.

  Capture Suicune. This Pokemon is a roaming type, which means it does not have a single place it can be found, but rather wanders about in the game world. Suicune will always be found in the grass. It will attempt to flee from any battle you engage it in, so make sure the first attack you use is a holding attack that prevents fleeing, such as "Mean Look".

  Once Suicune is captured, add it to your team, then hold down the "L" button on your Nintendo DS. This will cause all the Pokemon in your slots to change to their shiny counterparts, including Suicune.
