How to Evolve Seadra Into Kingdra in SoulSilver

If you often battle opponents using fire-type Pokemon in "Pokemon SoulSilver," consider adding Kingdra to your team. Kingdra offers some of the best water and dragon-type moves, such as Hydro Pump and Dragon Pulse. It can also learn status moves, like Toxic, that badly poison foes. If you have a Seadra, it is possible to evolve it into a Kingdra. To do so, give the Seadra a special item, a Dragon Scale, and trade the Pokemon to a friend.

Instructions

- 1
  Go to Mt. Mortar, located on Route 42. In the main room, go through the eastern door. In the next room, go down the ladder.

  Surf across the water and go north. Use your Waterfall move to ascend the waterfall blocking the path. Take the north exit.

  Progress through the cave until you find the Dragon Scale, located on a ledge near a ladder. When you have the Dragon Scale, use an Escape Rope, or the Dig move, to leave Mt. Mortar.

  Give the Seadra the Dragon Scale to hold. Go inside a Pokemon Center and talk to the attendant on the top floor. Have another person with the "Pokemon SoulSilver" game turn the game on.

  Select Seadra as the Pokemon you want to trade. Tap "Trade." Tap "Yes" to trade Seadra to the other player. At this time, Seadra evolves into Kingdra.
