How to Let Your Pokemon Roam Freely Outside Its Poke Ball

Pokemon do not usually walk outside their balls in most games. The exception can be when Pokemon enter into battles. However, the 2010 games "Pokemon HeartGold" and "Pokemon SoulSilver" include animation that allows the lead Pokemon in your party of six to walk outside its ball behind your trainer character. With these game graphics you can turn to face the Pokemon, which may express feelings or give you an object it found on the ground.
