How to Get Trapinch in SoulSliver

Trapinch is an insect-like, Ground-type Pokemon found in "Pokemon SoulSilver." This Pokemon has two abilities: the Hyper Cutter and Arena Trap. Once Trapinch reaches Level 35, it evolves into Vibrava. You can find and capture Trapinch in the Desert section of the Safari Zone after meeting two requirements. On your first visit to the Safari Zone, you will not find Trapinch. You need to wait 30 days after you place 25 Peak Objects in the Safari Zone to find Trapinch.

Instructions

  Get the first four gym badges for your Trainer Card by defeating Falkner, Bugsy, Whitney and Morty, who are Johto gym leaders. Head west of Route 41 to get to Cianwood City. Go west of this city to find the Safari Zone.

  Speak to Baoba, who is the Safari Zone Warden. He will send you on two quests. Capture a Geodude to complete the first quest and a Sandshrew to complete the second quest. Upon completion of these two quests, he will unlock a new Safari Zone feature for you. You can decorate the Safari Zone with blocks to attract new Pokemon.

  Visit Professor Elm in New Bark Town after you beat the Pokemon League. Get the National Dex from Professor Oak at the port of Olivine City. Speak to the Safari Zone Warden frequently until you have 25 Peak Objects.

  Talk to the Safari Zone Warden to decorate the Desert section of the Safari Zone with the Small Rocks, Big Rocks and Mossy Rocks, which are Peak Objects. Keep the Peak Objects in the Safari Zone for at least 30 days. You will find Trapinch in the Desert section on the 31st day.

  Encounter a Trapinch in the long grass of the Desert section of the Safari Zone. To make the Trapinch easier to catch, hurl "Mud" at it. Prevent the Trapinch from fleeing by chucking "Bait" at the Pokemon. Catch the Trapinch with a Safari Ball.
