The Nintendo DS is a hand-held video game console featuring two screens and voice and touch commands. In 2009, Nintendo released the DSi, an upgraded version of the console featuring a number of improvements and new features. Among the features is a built-in wireless connection, allowing the user to connect to the Internet via any nearby Wi-Fi connection. The DSi's wireless functionality can be disabled if the user does not wish to use it.

Open the Nintendo DSi menu.

Select the "Settings" menu (indicated by a wrench icon).

Select "Wireless Communication Settings."

Pick "Off" to turn off the wireless functionality.
