How to Get the Cops to Chase You in Need for Speed on the DS

"Need for Speed" is a series of racing games, several of which run on the Nintendo DS. While some of these, such as "Need for Speed: Underground 2" and "ProStreet," focus entirely on racing, others, such as "Need for Speed: Most Wanted," "Carbon" and "Undercover," feature an infraction system that results in police chases for committing dangerous traffic violations. Due to the high-speed nature of the game and the number of encounters with cop cars, causing them to chase you is quite easy --- getting away is the hard part.

Instructions

    • 1

Drive normally until you encounter a police car. The cops must see you commit an infraction before they'll give chase.

    • 2

Drive off the road, crash into a sign, collide with a civilian vehicle or ram a police car to commit your first infraction. Any police in the area will sound their sirens and begin to chase you.

    • 3

Escape from the police to commit future infractions. Reaching a very high speed while being chased will also register as an infraction --- 150 mph counts as speeding, 180 as excessive speeding and 200 as reckless driving.
