How to Put System Files on R4DS

The R4DS is a flash card that's used to put music, videos, pictures, and game saves onto a Nintendo DS. If you have a card reader on your computer, you can insert the R4DS into it and pull up the contents. The card is compatible with FAT32 and FAT16 file formats. This allows you to transfer documents and other files onto the flash card. You don't have to be a computer programmer to transfer any system files you want onto the R4DS. You can do it with a few clicks of your mouse.

Instructions

    • 1

Pull the R4DS card out of your Nintendo DS flash card port. This is located on the side of the Nintendo DS. Pull the card out with your fingernails to remove it from the port.

    • 2

Insert the R4DS card into the card reader on your computer. Click the "Start" button and click on the "Computer" icon.

    • 3

Click on your R4DS icon to open the contents on the R4DS card. Locate the system files on your computer that you want to transfer.

    • 4

Drag the file icons to the R4DS window and wait for the files to transfer. Right-click on the R4DS icon and click the "Eject" icon to eject the card from the computer.

    • 5

Pull the R4DS card from the computer and then re-insert it into the Nintendo DS flash card port.
