How to Evolve Munchlax in Pokemon Explores of Darkness

Figuring out how to evolve Munchlax in "Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Explorers of Darkness" may seem confusing at first. There are two ways to evolve Munchlax. If Munchlax is on your team but not one of your starters, it will be much easier to evolve him than if you started the game as Munchlax.

Instructions

As a Team Member

  Look at how many stars Munchlax has in the IQ stat. You will need slightly more IQ than is reflected by two stars.

  Visit the Luminous Spring to evolve Munchlax into Snorlax. Select Munchlax and he will step into the spring to evolve.
As a Starter

  Complete the game's main storyline by defeating Darkrai.

  Recruit Cresselia and Manaphy.

  Talk to Manaphy to learn about the Marine Resort.
