How to Get the Cups in Final Fantasy Tactics A2

The Cups are a series of side-missions and challenges in the Nintendo DS role-playing video game "Final Fantasy Tactics A2." Each Cup is held in a different area of the game, in a different month, and each has different rewards. All of the Cups involve taking part in a series of increasingly difficult battles against rival Clans, each with different rules. The Cups are listed below in order -- you must complete them in order to progress on to the next Cup.

Instructions

    • 1

Go to Camoa during the month of Silversun to take part in the Camoa Cup. There are three battles, each more difficult than the last. All six members of your party can join in the battles, and the only rule is that you cannot use any abilities or attacks which use Magic Points -- this means you will have to do your fighting with melee and ranged physical attacks. Win all three battles and you will get 2400 Gil and the Gigas Pendant.

    • 2

Head to Graszton during the month of Ashleaf to enter the Graszton Cup. Only four members of your party can take part in the tournament, and the use of Opportunity Commands is prohibited throughout. You will face Mages in round one, ranged attackers in round two and melee attackers in round three. Win all three rounds and you will be rewarded with the Corsage of Corruption, two Ice Sigils and 4030 Gil.

    • 3

Enter the Moorabella Cup by going to Moorabella during the month of Mistleaf. Again it is a three-round tournament, with each level getting more difficult. All six party members are involved, but this time the use of any Items is banned during battle so you will need to use spells and character abilities to heal. Win all three rounds and you will be rewarded with 7760 Gil.

    • 4

Head to Fluorgis during the month of Emberleaf to enter the Fluorgis Cup. Again there are three increasingly difficult battles, but only one of your party can battle, so choose your most powerful fighter. Buffs are forbidden throughout the battles, which are against a Blue Mage, a Red Mage and a Master Monk. Beat all three to get the Pin of Order and 2730 Gil.

    • 5

Enter the Goug Cup by going to Goug during the month of Plumfrost. All six of your party members can fight in the three battles of this tournament, but in each battle you cannot end your turn when you are in a square adjacent to another unit. This means that your units can't stand in a group, so ranged attacks will work best. Win all three rounds and you will get 2630 Gil and the Ewer of Darkness.

    • 6

Go to Moorabella during the month of Skyfrost to enter the Loar Cup. All of your party members can take part, but each of the five rounds has different rules. In round one, the use of Magic Points is banned. In round two, only Viera can move and attack. In round three, Items are forbidden, and in round four you cannot deal more than 50 damage with any one attack. In the final round, ranged attacks from more than two squares away are forbidden. Win all five rounds to get the Ring of the Wheel and 4290 Gil.

    • 7

Enter the Ordalia Cup by going to Fluorgis during the month of Bloodfire. Six party members can fight, and the rules are different in each of the five rounds. In round one, actions which knock back the target are forbidden. In round two, all Buffs are banned. In round three, you must end each turn in a square adjacent to another unit, while in round four you must move one square before ending your turn. In the final round, actions that restore MP are forbidden. Win all five rounds to get 4660 Gil and the Tainted Cufflink.

    • 8

Go to Moorabella during the month of Coppersun to enter the seven-round Jylland Cup. In round one, dealing more than 100 damage in one attack is banned. Ranged weapons are forbidden in round two, while having less than 20 health points is banned in round three. Round four bans attacks which target all enemies, round five prohibits attacking enemies from behind and lightning-based weapons can't be used in round six. In the final round, using the same move as the previous unit is prohibited. Win all seven rounds to get the Gift of the Judge-Sal and 6270 Gil.

    • 9

Go to Fluorgis during the month of Goldsun to enter the final tournament, the Champion's Cup. There is one battle, which all six of your party can take part in, but you cannot deal more than 20 damage with any one attack. You will face a White Monk, an Archer, a Viking, a Soldier, a Green Mage and a White Mage, all very powerful. As long as you have one party member still standing at the end of the battle, you will win and be rewarded with 8510 Gil and a Waterwyrd Crystal.
