How to Catch Jirachi on 'Pokemon Diamond'

Jirachi is a rare Legendary Pokemon from the Hoenn region. This Steel- and Psychic-type Pokemon has "Serene Grace," an ability that doubles the chance of a move having an additional effect. In "Pokemon Diamond," the objective is to own all 493 Pokemon. You cannot capture a wild Jirachi in Pokemon Diamond. As of July 2011, Nintendo hasn't held a promotional event for Pokemon Diamond where players can obtain Jirachi. The only way you can obtain Jirachi in Pokemon Diamond is by using Action Replay.

  Purchase the correct version of Action Replay. AS of July 2011, it costs about $20. For example, buy Action Replay DSi if you have a Nintendo DSi unit. Consider borrowing Action Replay from a friend if this is the only time you will use a cheat.

  Place "Pokemon Diamond" into the Action Replay cartridge. Insert the Action Replay cartridge into the top slot of the Nintendo DS. You will hear the cartridge click into the slot. Use the power switch to turn on the Nintendo DS.

  Use the Nintendo DS stylus to select the green asterisk button on the main menu of Action Replay. Move the white cursor with the D-pad until it's hovering over "Add New Code." Use the "A" button to make that selection. Look for and choose "Pokemon Diamond" in the list of games.

  Give the cheat a simple name like "Jirachi Cheat." Press the "A" button to confirm the name of the cheat. Enter this code: 94000130 fffb0000 d5000000 00000181 b21c4d28 00000000 b0000004 00000000 c0000000 0000000b d7000000 00024620 dc000000 00000006 d2000000 00000000. Make sure you enter the correct code. If you make a mistake, you might corrupt Action Replay or "Pokemon Diamond."

  Confirm the code and select "Start" on the main menu of Action Replay. "Pokemon Diamond" will begin with the cheat enabled. Go to any Pokemon Center and check your PC. You will find Jirachi in a random storage box.
