How to Headbutt a Tree in SoulSilver

"Pokemon SoulSilver" is a remake of the original "Pokemon Silver" version, featuring updated graphics for the Nintendo DS, additional areas to explore and new Pokemon to catch. In "Pokemon SoulSilver," trainers who are searching for elusive, rare, wild Pokemon can use their Pokemon to headbutt various trees around the Johto and Kanto regions. To headbutt a tree, a move tutor must first teach your Pokemon the "Headbutt" move in the Ilex Forest.

Instructions

  Travel to the Ilex Forest, south of Goldenrod City.

  Enter the forest and follow the path south until you reach a small lake. Head down the path to the right and walk onto the ledge where you see a man headbutting a small tree.

  Press "A" to speak to the man. He will offer to teach your Pokemon the move "Headbutt."

  Press "A" to select the Pokemon that will learn "Headbutt." Select "Yes" to confirm.

  Approach any tree in the Ilex Forest and press "Start" to bring up the in-game menu. Select "Pokemon" and press "A" to choose the Pokemon with the "Headbutt" move.

  Select "Headbutt" to have your Pokemon headbutt the tree.
