How to Battle Jun When He's at His Highest Levels in Pokemon Diamond

Jun, or Barry in the English versions of "Pokemon Diamond," is your persistent rival from the start of the game. Barry will challenge you many times throughout the game, but he is at his best after you defeat the Elite Four many times. Which Pokemon he keeps on his team are dependent on which Pokemon you choose at the start of your adventure. No matter what creature you picked or what you call your rival, he will be a tough trainer to beat at his highest levels.

Instructions

  Defeat all eight of the gym leaders in the game. Having all the gym badges unlocks the Elite Four challenge.

  Beat the Elite Four in the Pokemon League. After you beat the Elite Four for the first time, Jun appears near the Battle Tower area on Saturdays and Sundays for the ultimate rematch. Although his Pokemon will have a level 60 ranking or higher, you can further increase their power levels for a more intense battle.
- 3
  Trounce the Elite Four challenge 20 times and talk to Jun on a weekend to start a battle. All of his Pokemon will now be between level 79 and 85.
