How to Get a Spade in Sims 2: Castaway

In "The Sims 2: Castaway" for the Nintendo DS, players take control of a simulated person known as a Sim who has been marooned on a remote island. In order to survive their experience on the island, your Sim will need food, shelter and tools. A spade is an important item to the survival of your Sim because it allows him to plant seeds and grow food. However, to obtain the spade, your Sim must earn the pieces of the spade and assemble them himself.

Instructions

  Talk to Mrs. Weeder in the garden area after completing her first mission by watering the banana plant. She will ask you to locate a vial of plant nutrients for her.

  Talk to Dr. Feelgood near the Crafting Rock to ask about the plant nutrients. She will ask you to bring back the ingredients needed to make the nutrients.

  Spearfish a Salmon, Black Carp and Cowcod to bring back to Dr. Feelgood. Salmon and Black Carp are both found in fresh water sources while the Cowcod is found in the ocean and only at night.

  Click on bug rocks to look for one blue bug, yellow bug, black bug, orange bug and white bug.

  Give these items to Dr. Feelgood and she will supply you with the plant nutrient. Give the plant nutrients to Mrs. Weeder and she will give you the spade head and the spade handle.

  Click on the Crafting Rock to select the spade blueprints and craft the spade using the two parts you that received from Mrs. Weeder.
