How to Become Phanpy in Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Explorers of Sky

Phanpy is one of the new playable characters in "Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Explorers of Sky." As the tradition of "Pokemon Mystery Dungeon" games continues, you will be asked a series of personality questions at the start of the game to determine which Pokemon suits you based on your temperament. To become a Phanpy, think like a calm-minded Phanpy and pick as many relaxed replies as possible during the test. If you prove to the game that you are tranquil, you will be rewarded with the small and strong Phanpy as your Pokemon.

Instructions

  Start a new save file for "Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Explorers of Sky."

  Choose the "Male" option, as female players cannot play as a Phanpy in this game.

  Answer the series of questions with the goal of earning more "Relaxed" points than any other personality points. Phanpy will be chosen as your playable character if you get an exceptionally high score in the relaxed category. For example, when asked " You have a really important test tomorrow! What do you do?" replying with "Wing it! I'm sure it will be fine!" earns you two points in the relaxed personality category.

  Reset the test and try again if the game does not choose Phanpy as your starting Pokemon after you answered all of the presented questions. The game might not have asked enough questions that feature "Relaxed" responses, or you may have missed a few opportunities to raise your relaxed score.
