How to Know if it Is Togepi on PokeRadar

"Pokemon Diamond" and "Pokemon Pearl" introduced the PokeRadar, a device that guarantees you will battle a wild Pokemon by causing the grass around you to shake when a wild Pokemon is present. If you step into a shaking patch of grass, a battle will begin. Some Pokemon, like Togepi, can be found only by using the PokeRadar. The only way to know for certain if Togepi is the Pokemon you will battle is to step into the shaking grass, but since Togepi is found only on Route 230, you can find it with little trouble.

Instructions

  Travel to Route 230 by using a Pokemon with the Fly move to fly into the Battle Frontier Fight Area and taking the western exit. Alternatively, use a Pokemon that knows the Surf move to travel to Route 230 via Route 229. Once you arrive onto Route 230, step into any patch of grass.

  Press the "X" button to open up the menu, and select "Items."

  Select the PokeRadar to begin using it.

  Step into a patch of shaking grass. If the Pokemon is not Togepi, run away from the battle and try again. If it is Togepi, you can then battle and capture it.
