Arceus is the "God" Pokemon in the sense that it created all other Pokemon. It is an incredibly powerful Legendary Pokemon and can only be obtained through online trading in "Pokemon SoulSilver." Online trading was introduced with the fourth generation of Pokemon games. If you wish to obtain an Arceus, you will need to access the Global Trading Station, located in any Pokemon Center in the game. Once there, you can search for an Arceus online and then trade for it if you have the Pokemon that the other person wants.

Travel to the Global Trading Station on the second floor of any Pokemon Center.

Speak to the center attendant and save your game. When you are asked if you wish to connect to the Nintendo WFC, select "Yes."

Select "Seek Pokemon" and search for Arceus. If there is one available for trade, deposit the Pokemon that the other person wants and select "Trade." A short cut scene will commence, after which you will have Arceus in your possession.
