How to Catch Snubbull in Pokemon: SoulSilver

In "Pokemon: SoulSilver," the game's Pokedex describes the pink, dog-like Pokemon Snubbull as a favorite of women who find it adorable. Those who capture Snubbull will find a female three times out of four and its hit points and attack stats are superior to its defensive abilities. Players will face difficulty finding Snubbull in the wild, as in certain locations it appears in approximately one out of every 100 random encounters. However, these chances drastically increase during certain game events.

Instructions

  Travel to Route 38, located west of Ecruteak City in the Johto Region. Wandering around in this location provides a one in 100 chance of finding Snubbull.

  Wait for phone calls through PokeGear. Occasionally, trainers may call to inform you that a Pokemon has swarmed on Route 38. For the rest of the day, chances of finding Snubbull there increase to one out of every five random encounters.

  Use a Pokemon around Levels 12 to 18 to battle against Snubbull, which typically appears between Levels 13 and 16. Weaken Snubbull and throw a Pokeball to capture it. If Snubbull breaks out of a Pokeball, attempt to weaken it further or use an attack that creates a status effect, such as sleep. Throw another Pokeball to capture it. Save your game immediately after capturing Snubbull and take it to a Pokemon Center for healing.

  Trade with players who obtain Snubbull in "Diamond," "Platinum" or "Pearl." In those games, Snubbull may appear on Route 209 during Pokemon swarms 40 percent of the time, regardless of the time of day. Route 209 lies east of Hearthome City in the Sinnoh region. Speak to the Wi-Fi Club Representative in any Pokemon Center to initiate trade for Snubbull. Save your game after the trade.
