How to Get Group Members in Pokemon SoulSilver

In the fourth-generation Pokemon games, including "Pokemon SoulSilver" and "Pokemon HeartGold," players are encouraged to create and join groups with other players. Group members simultaneously experience in-game events, such as swarms of Pokemon appearing in certain areas, changes to weather and occurrences on TV in the game. Creating your own group and getting new group members is easy, but depends on how many people you interact with, as well as how many decide to join your group.

Things You'll Need

"Pokemon SoulSilver"
Friends with any fourth-generation Pokemon game (Pearl, Diamond, Platinum, HeartGold or SoulSilver)

Instructions

  Walk or fly to Violet City which is west of Route 31, north of Route 32 and east of Route 36.

  Enter the Pokemon School north of the Violet City Pokemon Center.

  Talk to the person on the right side of the room. He will ask you if you'd like to make or join a group. Choose "Make Group" to create your own group, or choose "Join Group" to join a group created by another player you already battled, traded or interacted with.

  Ask your friends who play "Pokemon HeartGold" or "Pokemon SoulSilver" to go to Violet City and speak with the individual in the Pokemon School to join your group.

  Visit the Union Room on the top floor of any Pokemon Center with other group members to mix records and sync information.
