How to Evolve Machoke in Pokemon: Explorers of Sky

The mighty Machoke evolves into the four-armed Machamp when exposed to certain conditions in "Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Explorers of Sky" for the Nintendo DS. Machoke's powerful Fighting-type abilities improve drastically after it evolves into Machamp and grows an additional pair of hulking arms, which it uses to punch and chop its opponents. Machamp can throw over 1,000 punches in two seconds, making it as speedy as it is powerful. Like many Pokemon in "Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Explorers of Sky," Machoke's transformation requires a special evolutionary item.

Instructions

  Finish the main storyline of "Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Explorers of Sky."

  Complete the Mystifying Forest dungeon after beating Dialga in the Temporal Tower mission.

  Buy a Link Cable item from a Kecleon Shop in the Mystifying Forest, Midnight Forest or Lake Afar locations.

  Go to the Luminous Spring area with the Link Cable item in your bag and Machoke in your party to evolve it into Machamp. Walk up to the spring's waters, and select the "Evolution" option to choose an individual Pokemon in your party to evolve. Any Pokemon that is currently able to evolve will have the "Possible Now" message displayed on its Summary tab.
