How to Find the Shady Character in the Kanto Part of Pokemon SoulSilver

When you first travel to Cerulean City in "Pokémon Soul Silver" you will notice that the entire city is in a state of blackout. After some investigating, a resident of the city will tell you that there is no power in the region of Kanto and will encourage you check out the problem at the power plant. A foreman at the plant will tell you a shady character may be responsible for the power outage and will ask you to track him down. Finding and defeating this shady character is the only way to get the radio tower and magnet train operational again.

     Run to the gym in Cerulean City. The gym is in the center cluster of buildings.

   • 2

     Enter the gym and you will see a Team Rocket Grunt. This is the shady character you heard about, but he'll run away as soon as he sees you.

     Follow the Grunt as he makes his escape. Eventually he will stop on Route 24; speak with him to start a battle.

     Defeat the Grunt's level-30 Golbat and he will tell you where to find the missing part of the power plant.
