How to Get a Lot of Coins on the Pokemon SoulSilver Game Corner

"Pokemon SoulSilver" is a remake of the 1999 release, "Pokemon Silver" with modest enhancements. As with other games in the series, players can visit a Game Corner to gamble their coins in hopes of earning greater profits. Unlike the slot machines of previous games, "Pokemon SoulSilver" allows gamers to play a game of skill called "Voltorb Flip." The game is similar in style to "Minesweeper," with covered squares that must be clicked to reveal whether they hide an explosive Voltorb tile.

Instructions

    • 1

Travel to Goldenrod or Celadon to visit one of the two Game Corners in "Pokemon SoulSilver."

    • 2

Speak with the man behind the card table, Mr. Game, to receive a coin case. Without the case, you cannot earn coins while playing Voltorb Flip.

    • 3

Activate the table in front of Mr. Game to begin playing Voltorb Flip.

    • 4

Click all of the tiles in rows and columns which have a "5" listed as the second number beside it, since these row and columns have no voltorbs and are safe to click.

    • 5

Add a "memo," a marker that doesn't turn a tile, over any row or column with a "5" listed as the first number beside it. This indicates that every tile in the row is a voltorb, and will end your game.

    • 6

Use the context clues from these rows and columns to locate and tiles that are adjacent to two or three voltorbs, since these squares act as multipliers on your total number of coins. You don't have to mark or flip every tile, but you do have to flip every two and three tile to advance to the next round. Leaving unnecessary tiles untouched saves time and allows you to maximize your profit.
