How to Find the Shady Character in SoulSilver

The main objective of "Pokemon SoulSilver" is to collect all the gym badges, defeat the Pokemon League and complete the National Pokedex. Like other "Pokemon" games, "SoulSilver" also features a subplot: you must defeat various Team Rocket members to stop them from achieving world domination. At one point, you will notice a Shady Character who is really a Rocket Grunt. You will need to obtain a machine piece from him to fix the Power Plant.

Instructions

- 1
  Win each battle against the gym leaders of Johto. Go to the Indigo Plateau and fight the Elite Four and the Champion. Defeat the five skilled trainers to become the Pokemon League Champion.

  Travel to New Bark Town and speak to Professor Elm. He will give you a ticket to Kanto. Give the ticket to the sailor at Vermillion City to go to Kanto. When you arrive, you will find out that the electricity is out in all of Kanto.

  Surf through Route 9 to get to Route 10. You will find the Power Plant on this route. Talk to the Manager; he will tell you that someone stole a machine piece from the generator.

  Go to Cerulean City and enter the city's gym. The Shady Character will run out of the gym before you get a chance to confront him. Head north of Cerulean City to go to Route 24.
- 5
  Head onto the bridge on Route 24. The Shady Character will spot you and try to hide between two Pokemon Trainers. Speak to the Shady Character to fight him. He will tell you that the machine piece is in the Cerulean Gym.
