How to Get to Meet Ho-Oh in Pokemon HeartGold

Ho-oh is a legendary Fire- and Flying-type Pokemon introduced in the "Gold," "Silver" and "Crystal" Pokemon games. It is the master of the legendary beasts Raikou, Entei and Suicune, and the counterpart to Lugia, who commands the legendary birds, Articuno, Zapdos, and Moltres. Ho-oh is very versatile in battle, able to function as a physical attacker, special wall or support Pokemon. Ho-oh's notable attacks include "Brave Bird," "Sacred Fire," "Earthquake," "Thunder Wave," "Calm Mind" and "Roost." In "HeartGold," players can meet Ho-oh after obtaining all eight Johto badges.

     Defeat Clair in the Blackthorn City Gym and speak to her in the Dragon's Shrine to obtain the Rising Badge.

     Fly to New Bark Town. Enter the Pokemon Laboratory and talk to Professor Elm to obtain the Master Ball.

     Fly to Ecruteak City and enter the Kimono House north of the Pokemon Center. Defeat the Kimono Sisters in battle to obtain the Clear Bell.

     Head north from the Kimono House and talk to the monk to get him to step aside. Follow the path and enter the Bell Tower.

   • 5

     Make your way to the top of the tower. The Kimono Sisters will appear and perform a dance to summon Ho-oh.
