How to Complete the Sinnoh Pokedex in Platinum

In "Pokemon Platinum," every trainer's goal is to obtain all eight badges, defeat the Elite Four and encounter every Pokemon to complete the Pokedex, a catalog of different Pokemon species. There are a total of 210 Pokemon in the Sinnoh Pokedex for the trainer to capture and collect. While most Pokemon are able to be seen in the wild, some Pokemon are extremely rare and can only be found through trading with other players.

Instructions

  Walk around in any patch of tall grass on the various routes you will pass through on your Pokemon journey. Encounter various wild Pokemon and catch them to add their data to your Pokedex.

  Battle every trainer you encounter along your journey. Trainers will often have different Pokemon in their parties. Every time a trainer uses a new Pokemon for battle, its data will be automatically recorded in your Pokedex.

  Enter the Global Trade Station in Jubilife City and speak to the woman at the counter to enter the global trading room. Here, you can trade your Pokemon with trainers all over the world via Wi-Fi connection for Pokemon you need to complete your Sinnoh Pokedex.

  Battle and trade Pokemon with your friends. You can add Pokemon data to your Pokedex by battling or trading with friends who have different Pokemon in their parties.
