How to Get to the Dragon's Shrine in Pokemon SoulSilver

The Dragon's Shrine is a small temple within the Dragon's Den in Blackthorn City. It is home to strong Dragon-type Pokemon trainers and wild Pokemon such as Magikarp, Dratini, and Dragonair. A wise old man in the shrine rewards players with a Dratini that knows the attack "Extremespeed" if the players give compassionate answers to his questions. In "Pokemon HeartGold" and "Pokemon SoulSilver," players must traverse the Dragon's Shrine in order to obtain the Rising Badge and TM59 from Clair.

Instructions

  Fly or traverse the Ice Cave to reach Blackthorn City. Level your Pokemon up to 35 or higher and enter the Blackthorn Gym.

  Defeat the gym trainers and go across the pathway to reach Clair. Speak to her to begin the battle.

  Use Ice-type and Dragon-type attacks such as "Ice Beam" and "Dragon Claw," respectively, to defeat Clair's Dragonair and Kingdra. Use Electric attacks such as "Thunderbolt" to finish off her Gyarados. After the battle, Clair will not acknowledge your prowess and challenge you to reach the Dragon's Shrine.

  Surf north from Blackthorn City and enter the Dragon's Den. Take the left path and use "Whirlpool" to clear the eddy. Continue along the path to reach the Dragon's Shrine.
