How Can I Get the Rising Badge in Soulsilver?

To obtain the title as Pokemon champion in the "Pokemon SoulSilver" version, you must defeat the Elite Four and current Pokemon champion. Along your Pokemon journey, you will battle countless trainers and eight difficult gym leaders while also embarking on side missions as well. To have access to battling the Elite Four, you must defeat all eight gym leaders and receive the eight gym badges. The Rising Badge, given by the Blackthorn City Gym leader Claire, is the last badge you must obtain before taking on the Elite Four.

Instructions

  Go to the Blackthorn Gym and battle the gym leader, Claire. She will use a series of dragon/water-type Pokemon starting with Gyarados and following up with two Dragonairs and one Kingdra. If you have a strong, leveled Electric-type Pokemon with Electric moves, you can easily defeat her. Unlike the other gym leaders, who give you a gym badge after defeating them, Claire will not give you the Rising Badge.

  Walk out of the gym and walk into the cave behind the the gym, known as the Dragon's Den. Maneuver through the cave until you see an elderly man who will administer a verbal test to you.

  Answer these questions ("Q:") with the answers ("A:") as follows:

  Q: What helps you to win battles?
  
  A: Teamwork
  
  Q: What kind of Trainer do you wish to battle?
  
  A: Strong
  
  Q: What is most important for raising Pokemon?

  Q: Strong Pokemon. Weak Pokemon. Which is more important?
  
  A: Both

  Pass the quiz and wait for Clair to walk into the the screen and give you the Rising Badge.
