How to Put Your Sapphire Pokemon Into Pokemon SoulSilver

Collecting every known Pokémon requires not only time and dedication but also several different versions of "Pokémon" games. Some rare Pokémon appear only in specific titles, which means you will need to mix and match if you want to finish the National Pokédex and become a true master trainer. If you have captured Pokémon in "Pokémon Sapphire" and want to bring them to "Pokémon SoulSilver," you will first need to complete a few in-game events.

Instructions

  Insert your copy of "Pokémon Sapphire" into the GBA slot on your Nintendo DS. Place "Pokémon SoulSilver" in the DS slot.

  Turn on the system and launch your saved "Pokémon SoulSilver" file.

  Defeat the Champion of the Pokémon League in Blackthorn City. He will field a large range of level 48 and above Pokémon.

  Challenge and defeat the Kimono Girls. You will find them in Ecruteak City, Illex Forest, Violet City or Ice Path. Each girl fields a different evolved version of Eevee at level 38.

  Travel to Olivine City and board the S.S. Aqua. You'll find Olivine City in between Routes 39 and 40, all the way to the west on your map. The S.S. Aqua docks at the southern port in Olivine City. Professor Oak will appear and give you the National Pokédex before you board the ship. This item gives you access to new Pokémon types and opens the Pal Park area.

  Save your game and exit to the main "Pokémon SoulSilver" menu. Select "Migrate from Sapphire" on the main menu, and hit the "Yes" button to confirm.

  Select the six Pokémon you wish to transfer by touching them with your stylus. You can only transfer six at a time; however, the daily limit from "Pearl" and "Diamond" is removed in "SoulSilver." Hit "Yes" to confirm your choices.

  Head back to the main menu and load your saved game file.

  Run to Fuchsia City, which you'll find in between Routes 18 and 15 in the southern area of your map. Once in the city, run to the building farthest to the north; this is the entrance to Pal Park.

  Speak with the character standing by the center counter and ask to participate in a catching show. He'll give you six Park Balls and send you through the door that leads to the park.

  Run around Pal Park until you are attacked by a Pokémon. Pal Pak is inhabited by the six Pokémon you selected from the transfer menu. Toss one of your Park Balls to capture the Pokémon and add it to your "SoulSilver" collection.
