Yanma is a dual type Flying- and Bug-type Pokemon that evolves into the powerful Yanmega. You can capture Yanma in "Pokemon HeartGold" by going to Route 35 and walking around the grass. Unfortunately, Yanma is very rare and you only have a 1 percent chance of encountering one. You can increase this rate to 40 percent if you wait until a Yanma swarm hits the area. You can see what Pokemon species is currently swarming by checking Professor Oak's radio station on your PokeGear.

Travel to Route 35 and walk around the grass until you encounter a Yanma.

Weaken Yanma using Flying-, Electric-, Ice- or Fire-type Pokemon.

Throw a Pokeball at Yanma once you have its health down to the red area. Once the ball shakes three times, you will have captured Yanma.
