How to Catch Lotad on Pokemon Diamond

The only way to catch Lotad in "Pokemon Diamond" is with the help of another Pokemon game. You require both "Pokemon Diamond" and "Pokemon Sapphire" inserted into your Nintendo DS to be able to find and trap Lotad. This method is only possible with Nintendo DS models containing a Game Boy Advance game slot.

  Place "Sapphire" into the Game Boy Advance slot of the Nintendo DS. Put "Diamond" into the Nintendo DS slot.

  Load your "Diamond" game and travel to the following routes to find Lotad: Route 203, Route 204, Route 205, and Route 212. Find Route 203 east of Jubilife City. Look for Route 204 north of Jubilife City. Head west from Eterna City to reach Route 205. Find Route 212 south of Hearthome City.

  Walk around the grassy areas until you run into Lotad. Bring Pokemon to counteract Lotad's water and grass-characteristics. Use flying and poison-based Pokemon to defeat him.

  Wear down Lotad's health. Keep attacking with your Pokemon until his hit points are almost empty. Use a Pokeball to catch Lotad.
