How to Make Your Trainer Card Black in Soul Silver

"Pokemon Soul Silver" is a remake of the original "Pokemon Silver" version, featuring updated graphics for the Nintendo DS system, new legendary Pokemon and additional areas to explore. Your Pokemon trainer card displays information about your wireless details, name, play time, gym badges earned and Elite Four records. Your card collects stars and changes color depending on your accomplishments. To turn your trainer card black, you must have earned all five stars by completing various tasks throughout the game.

Instructions

    • 1

Defeat the Elite Four in the Pokemon League. You receive one star for this accomplishment, and your trainer card turns blue.

    • 2

Collect five shiny leaves for one Pokemon and speak to Ethan or Lyra in New Bark Town. Depending on your lead Pokemon's nature, shiny leaves will be scattered around various locations in the Johto region. Your trainer card turns green after this accomplishment.

    • 3

Enter the Pokeathlon Dome to the west of the National Park and defeat the records on all 10 Pokeathlon activities. Your trainer card turns pink after this accomplishment.

    • 4

Travel to the Battle Frontier and head north to enter the Battle Tower. Complete a 100 win streak to turn your trainer card to silver.

    • 5

Capture all 484 Pokemon to complete the National Pokedex. Nintendo event-only legendary Pokemon such as Mew, Celebi, Arceus, Jirachi, Manaphy and Shaymin are not needed to complete the Pokedex. Your Pokemon trainer card turns black after this accomplishment.
