Train a single Pokemon to level 100 by completing trainer battles. Continue training your Pokemon after he reaches his maximum level and he continues to gain experience. Because your Pokemon is at such a high level, he defeats enemies quickly while taking minimal damage.
Type the name of a Pokemon you wish to train, click on a computer-controlled opponent then click on the "Battle" option. This allows you to complete battles with any computer opponent, using any Pokemon.
Defeat every one of the 32 gym leaders by visiting their gyms and battling them. After you defeat the gym leaders, defeat the 16 members of the elite gyms. This unlocks the ability to capture legendary Pokemon.
Complete multiple battles at the same time to increase your experience. Open several windows of "Pokemon Crater" and log into each window using your username and password. Walk to an enemy in each screen and enter a battle. Complete all of the battles at once by alternating between the different windows. This helps increase the rate at which your Pokemon earn experience.
Obtain duplicate legendary Pokemon. Visit a tournament and defeat all of your opponents to win the challenge and receive a legendary Pokemon as a prize. Walk outside and capture a wild Pokemon. At the next screen, select "level 2" and leave the "Select Pokemon" option blank. Enter another tournament to obtain a duplicate of your original prize.
Visit the first cave map and walk to the high level area of the map. Enter as many battles as possible. This map area frequently contains legendary Pokemon. Catch one by battling until his health drops near zero and throw a pokeball at him.
Complete the rare Pokemon glitch. Visit the picnic map and climb the hill in the top left corner of the map. Walk to the hill that rests on top of the original hill and circle the hill until you reach a wall. Press the down-diagonal button that extends towards the left until you enter a battle with a rare Pokemon.
