How to Raise Job Levels in FFIII for DS

A character in role-playing video game "Final Fantasy III" can change between 23 different jobs. Each job has different abilities, which change the role that character performs during combat. The effectiveness of a character is dictated by his character level and the level of the job he is using. Character level increases as experience points are earned after battles. This is completely independent of the job being used. Job level is increased by earning job points, a statistic that is hidden from the player.

Instructions

    • 1

Start a battle against an enemy. Unlike experience points for raising character level, it does not matter what level the enemy you are fighting is. It is advantageous to fight weaker enemies if you are solely interested in raising job level.

    • 2

Kill the enemies until only one is remaining.

    • 3

Use defend five times. Use defend 10 times if your current job level is above 14. You gain job points anytime you perform an action other than changing the row your character is fighting from or attempting to escape the battle.

    • 4

Kill the last enemy. You do not earn the job points to raise your job level until you finish the fight.
