How to Get to the Fifth Ruin of the Alphs on Pokemon SoulSilver

In "Pokemon SoulSilver," the ancient Ruins of Alph are home to one of the strangest and most elusive creatures in the Johto region, the Unown. Unown, flexible black Pokemon with a single large eye, can twist themselves into many different shapes. There are 28 Unown shapes are available for you to catch in the Ruins of Alph and each shape has a different meaning. To get all of the Unown, you need to reach the fifth and final chamber in the Ruins. The chamber opens when you have solved four puzzles and caught 26 different Unown types.

Instructions

- 1
  Go to Violet City and head southwest to reach the Ruins of Alph. Enter the first room, located north of the Research Center in the middle of the Ruins.

  Rearrange the pieces of the puzzle in this room so they form the Pokemon, Kabuto. When the puzzle is solved, you fall through the floor into a basement.

  Take the Unown Report from the man in the basement. When he leaves, walk around to trigger a random battle. You will fight one of several Unown types. Capture it. Keep fighting and capturing Unown until you have Unowns A through I. Unown you have caught are recorded in the Unown Report.

  Head south and take the ladder up. Exit this room and continue walking south until you reach some water. Use Surf to cross the water and enter the ruin.

  Rotate the puzzle pieces so they form the Pokemon, Aerodactyl. Catch Unown R through V when you reach the basement, then leave the ruin.

  Leave the Ruins of Alph area and go to Union Cave. Proceed through Union Cave until you see a ladder. Take the ladder down and surf across the pond. Head north and exit.

  Defeat the trainer in battle when he challenges you to a fight. Continue into the cave. Move the puzzle pieces so they form the Pokemon, Ho-Oh. In the new room, capture Unown W through Z.

  Go back into Union Cave via the ladder. Return to the pond and take the west path. Use Strength to move the rock out of the way. Enter the fourth ruin.

  Solve the puzzle in this ruin by moving the pieces so they form the Pokemon, Omanyte. In the basement, capture Unown K through Q.

  Go back to the main Ruins of Alph area and enter the Research Center. Speak to a scientist inside to get extra pages for your Unown Report.

  Head inside the main entrance of the Ruins. Walk up to the panel behind the ladder and examine it. A scientist appears and you are automatically taken back to the Research Center.

  Return to the main Ruins entrance one more time and a ladder appears. Go down the ladder to access the fifth and final ruin area. Catch Unown ! and ? to complete the mission.
