How to Wake Up the Sleeping Snorlax in Front of Diglett's Cave on Pokemon SoulSilver

Snorlax is one of several "side quest" Pokemon in "Pokemon: SoulSilver" and "Pokemon: Heart Gold" with which you can interact. It's a Pokemon you wouldn't normally encounter in the wild and therefore wouldn't be able to catch through normal means. However, by completing the special side quest that needs to be completed to get its attention, you can interact with it and goad it into a battle with you, which can in turn allow you to capture it for your collection.

  If you find the entrance to the Diglett Cave blocked off by the Snorlax, you may want to go check Lavender Town. While in Lavender Town, you may notice that the Radio Tower isn't receiving any power. Go to the Power Plant to find out why.

  When you reach the Power Plant, they will tell you that the generator is missing a part. You will also be given some information about a shady character in Cerulean City. Travel to the Cerulean City Gym.

  When you enter the Gym, you will meet a Rocket Grunt who runs out of the Gym. You will have to follow him and battle him. He can be found on Route 24.

  After you defeat him, he will tell you that he hid the Machine Part in the Cerulean Gym's liferings. Go there and collect the Machine Part.

  Take the Machine Part to the Power Plant to get the power turned back on. Then, go back to the Radio Tower in Lavender Town, where they'll give you the Radio Expansion.

  Go visit the Snorlax again, turn on the PokeFlute station on your Radio, then interact with it. He doesn't like being woken up, so he'll get up and battle! He's Level 50, so try your best to capture him. If you can't capture it, don't worry, it will be at Route 12 after you beat the Elite Four a second time.
