How to Get a Hedgehog on Sims Animals

"SimAnimals" is a sandbox-style simulation game allowing players to create an ecosystem to their liking by making favorable conditions for certain types of life to thrive. Beginning with the "Abandoned Farm" level, and appearing frequently throughout the rest of the game, gamers can attract hedgehogs to their lot and help them raise families. However, since these animals are prey to multiple large creatures, it is essential to find a balance that gives every animal a chance to survive.

Oak tree seed
Blue flax seed
Sticks

Instructions

  Plant an Oak Tree seed on the "Abandoned Farm" stage, the first in which a hedgehog can appear. Move your cursor over the seed several times to plant it after dropping it.

  Water the oak seed consistently as it grows, and then wait for a squirrel to appear on the farm. The squirrel will appear only after the tree reaches an appreciable size. Attracting a squirrel is the first objective of the level.

  Lay sticks around the lot, which owls will use to build a nest. Three squirrels must occupy the farm for owls to show up. Allow the owls to eat squirrels, build a nest and lay eggs -- the second objective of "Abandoned Farm." A new set of objectives appear after the first two are completed.

  Plant a blue flax plant and allow it to mature. This creates an ecosystem of bugs that hedgehogs can feed on, so when there are enough bugs, hedgehogs will wander into the farm.
