Easy Ways to Catch Legendaries in 'Pokemon Crystal'

Capturing Suicine at Tin Tower

• After protecting Radio Tower in Goldenrod City, you will receive the Clear Bell as a reward. Make your way back to Ecruteak City and climb to the top of the Tin Tower. There you will have to battle three monks who are guarding the top of the tower. After defeating them, you will encounter the three legendary Pokemon: Suicine, Raikou, and Entei. Suicine will be the only one that attacks you right now. Get his life bar down low enough and throw your Pokeball to capture it, just like with any other Pokemon.

Finding Raikoh and Entei

• After defeating Suicine, you will notice that Raikoh and Entei are nowhere to be seen. You must encounter these two Pokemon on your own, out in the wild. Route 36 is one of the central routes in the game that connects many towns and areas of interest. This is the best area to have a chance to run into both Raikoh and Entei.

Tracking the Legendary Pokemon

• Once you have encountered Raikoh and Entei in battle in the wild, they will use their Roar ability to run from battle. Upon leaving the battle, look at the Pokedex map. There will be icons that show you where they can be found. You need some patience when it comes to encountering them for the first time.

Catching Raikoh and Entei

• Use Fly to fast travel to a centralized location, such as Violet City. Using Fly will reset where Raikoh and Entei are on the map. Keep using this tactic until either one is close enough to Violet City that you can catch up to them by walking to its location. Enter battle with one of them, and use the same tactics that you used to capture Suicine. Repeat this step to capture the last legendary, either Raikoh or Entei, depending on which one you caught first.
