How to Get Swinub to Learn Ancient Powers

Swinub is an Ice/Ground-type Pokemon introduced in "Pokemon Gold" and "Pokemon Silver." In the remakes of those games, "Pokemon HeartGold" and "Pokemon SoulSilver," you can capture Swinub and evolve it into a Piloswine and then a Mamoswine, one of the most powerful Ground-type Pokemon. In order for Swinub to evolve into Mamoswine, however, it must know the move "AncientPower." This move can be learned from the Move Tutor in the Battle Frontier. It will cost you 40 battle points to have Swinub learn "AncientPower."

     Travel to the Battle Frontier and enter the Move Tutor house. There will be three move tutors there.

     Place Swinub at the front of your party.

     Talk to the Move Tutor in the bottom-right. He will ask which Pokemon you wish to teach moves too.

     Select Swinub and then select the move "AncientPower." It will cost you 40 battle points, also referred to as BP.
