How to Use MoonShell on Action Replay for Your DSi

"Action Replay" is a cheating device for the Nintendo DS and DSi portable gaming systems. The "Action Replay" allows the user to modify the code of games and applications on the DS, enabling a range of cheats and home brew options. "Moonshell" is a usermade file browsing system for the Nintendo DS that also functions as a miniature operating system. "Moonshell" can be used to read and edit documents, draw pictures, surf the Internet and manage email.

      Navigate your web browser to the "Moonshell" download page.

      Download the "Moonshell" installation package to your local hard drive.

      Remove the micro SD card from your Action Replay.

      Insert the micro SD card into a USB converter. Plug the converter into your computer's USB slot.

      Extract the contents of the "Moonshell" installation package into the root directory of the micro SD card. Use the self-extracting ".exe" version of the installation package if you do not have a program capable of opening ".zip" archives.

      Insert the micro SD card into the Action Replay.

      Power on the DSi with the Action Replay inserted into the cartridge slot.

      Open the "File Browser."

      Use the directional pad to navigate through the list of files on the micro SD card. Highlight "Moonshell.NDS" and press "A" to open "Moonshell."
