How to Connect DSi to DS

The Nintendo DS is a handheld gaming system that succeeded the Game Boy Advance in Nintendo's handheld game system lineup. There are several models of the Nintendo DS, including the original DS, DS Lite, DSi and DSi XL. Although each is slightly different in the features it offers gamers, all DS systems play the same games and are capable of interfacing with other DS models. This includes the ability to connect two gaming systems using the built-in wireless card so that you can play games using a single cartridge.

  Insert the game cartridge you wish to play into the DSi and power on the system.

  Tap the bottom screen when the "Touch the Touch Screen to Continue" message appears. The game will start, and the DSi will automatically broadcast a wireless signal that allows nearby DS systems to connect.

  Turn on the Nintendo DS. Tap "DS Download Play" on the bottom screen of the DS menu. A list of available games in range will appear.

  Tap the name of the game inserted into the DSi. The Nintendo DS will download the necessary information to communicate and play games with the DSi.
