How to Get Wonder Cards in Pokemon SoulSilver

Nintendo held nine events for "Pokemon SoulSilver" players from September 2009 to February 2011. These Nintendo Events gave players access to items that allow them to acquire rare Pokemon. In order to get these items, a player must have the Wonder Card that is sent along with the Mystery Gift; it displays information that includes the name of the gift, the date the player received the gift and a short description of the gift.

  Insert "Pokemon SoulSilver" into the top slot of your Nintendo DS. Turn on your DS and start "Pokemon SoulSilver." At the game's main menu, click on "Mystery Gift" and a new menu will appear. At first, you will only see one option, "Receive Gift," on the Mystery Gift menu. Once you get a Wonder Card, a second option will show up: "Check Card." Select the first option by highlighting it and pressing "A."

  Highlight the "Get From a Friend" option and press "A" to select it to obtain a Wonder Card if you missed an event. Players can trade certain Wonder Cards to other players, so a player can get the Event Pokemon even if she didn't attend a particular event. This option utilizes the DS's wireless capabilities.

  Select the "Get From Wireless" option by pressing "A" after highlighting it. You will use this option whenever you go to a Pokemon Event located at a Toys"R"Us or another location. You can use the Wonder Card to obtain rare Pokemon, items or Poketch applications

  Highlight the "Get From Wi-Fi" option and press "A" whenever Nintendo puts up a Wonder Card. "Pokemon SoulSilver" will connect with Internet servers to get Wonder Cards via Wi-Fi. You must have Wi-Fi connectivity if you want to use this option.

  Leave the "Mystery Gift" menu and start the game. Travel to any of the Kanto and Johto Poke Marts and talk to the delivery man standing in front of the counter. He will give you the Wonder Card.
