How Do You Get the Legendaries in Pokemon Sapphire?

Capturing a legendary Pokemon is going to be a challenge for even the most seasoned Pokemon game masters. The legendary Pokemon Kyogre of the game "Pokemon Sapphire" is a strong Water-type Pokemon. Its weaknesses are Grass- and Electric-type attacks. Before you go up against this powerful sea basin species, be sure you have an Electric-type with the thunderbolt attack and Pokemon with the ability to put other Pokemon to sleep. You will also need surf, dive and the red/blue orb which can all be obtained in the game through its story mode.

  Travel to the city of Sootopolis. Team Aqua will be there wreaking havoc and causing mayhem. Defeat Team Aqua and dive into the dark shaded water and locate the cavern entrance. Continue to fight any enemies along the way to the entrance.

  Surface from the water and fight Team Aqua's members and leader throughout the cave. Once you defeat them, Kyogre will escape the caves. You will not be able to catch him yet.

  Exit the cave and then return to Sootopolis with Steven and the gym leader. Travel to the Cave of Origins and talk to the man outside of the cave. Enter the cave and travel to the fourth level. Kyogre will be there -- get ready to battle.

  Use your Electric-type Pokemon to hit Kyogre with the thunderbolt move. Be sure not to kill Kyogre or knock him out. Once he is weakened, put him to sleep before trying to catch him with an ultra ball. Use your Pokemon with the rest move to put Kyogre to sleep. Throw several ultra balls to catch the legendary Pokemon.
